Here is part two of Kristen and Michael’s engagement session! Looking at these again to make this blog post made me remember just how fun and cute these two were! The weather this day was really crazy. It was supposed to rain but then it kept clearing up and the sun even ended up coming out for a whie but as I was driving to their apartment this huge dark cloud seemed to be following me there! Once we decided to head to out of their apartment and venture around Little Italy, I was pretty nervous it was going to start pouring on us or something but it still didn’t – it seemed like we were getting really lucky. Then we stumbled upon this beautiful orange creamsicle looking Chevy Bel-Air parked outside of one of the restaurants on the strip. We of course had to take a ton of photos next to it! I used to want one of these cars so bad when I was little after seeing the blue one in Corrina, Corrina. And if you haven’t seen Corrina, Corrina….you MUST go watch it. Right now. It’s a classic. Ok so I am really into looking up movie, show, book….actually I’m just really into looking up reviews about pretty much everything. So I just looked up the IMDb review for Corrina, Corrina and it only got a 6.5 which I strongly disagree with- it’s a solid 8.5 at least! Ok sorry, got a little carried away there. So back to that beautiful car- I am OBSESSED with the way the photos came out next to it! I wish we would have waited for the owner and asked if we could move it around to a different spot or something because it wasn’t really in the best spot for photos but they probably would have thought I was crazy. Kristen and I were completely dying over that car, I am SO happy we found it parked there…asking for us to take its photos. 😉
After we took some shots in Little Italy, we went back to their apartment so they could change and headed downtown. As were driving downtown, it started to rain but as soon as we got to the 9, it cleared up again! And because it had been raining the rooftop bar was pretty empty so we didn’t even have to worry about working around a large crowd to get some good photos. It was magical! I’m convinced we had luck on our side that day because everything just played out so perfectly. We even got a tour of their vault downstairs which looked like an amazing place to hang out and get a drink or two.
Alright well I’m going to end it here and let you get on to the photos of these beautiful, sweet humans! I am so happy I got to meet these two! They were a blast to be around and had the best energy around them…Thank you so much Kristen and Michael for letting me capture this special time in your lives. I wish you nothing but the best!!
Oh side note- I am pretty sure no one has gushed and been as hyped up about their photos as Kristen, her messages every time I would send her sneak peeks and then her gallery were absolutely priceless. She definitely was pumping me up so I told her I’m going to hire her as my personal hype man, I think everyone needs one! 😉
