Meet Casey and Read About 10 Bucket List Ideas for Your Senior Year!
Hey guys! I know how important it is to make the most of your final year in high school. It’s the last year you’ll spend as much time with most of the friends you currently have and your family too. I’ve put together a bucket list with some ideas of unique activities to add some excitement and adventure to your final year of high school. This is great for my current seniors getting ready to graduate as well as juniors getting ready for your senior year to start.
Take a Road Trip: Get together with your best friends (or family!), rent a car, and hit the road! Take a weekend trip to a different city or make a cross-country journey. This is the perfect way to bond with your friends or fam and create unforgettable memories.
Volunteer: Giving back to the community is always a good idea, and senior year is the perfect time to start. Volunteer at a local shelter, soup kitchen, or community center. Not only will you be helping others, but it’s also a great way to gain experience and skills. It also looks great for college and job resumes.
Start a Club or Organization: Have a passion or interest that’s not currently represented at your school? Start your own club or organization! You could do a book club, environmental club, or sports club, this is a great way to make a difference and meet like-minded individuals.
Take a Class Just for Fun: Senior year is the perfect time to take a class that’s just for fun. Whether it’s art, photography, or cooking, explore your interests and try something new. If you can’t do this at your school, try to find somewhere else! You may even find an interest that you want to pursue more in college from trying this.
Write a Letter to Your Future Self: Take some time to reflect on your high school journey and write a letter to your future self. It might sound a little corny BUT this is a great way to set goals and aspirations for the future, and it’s always fun to look back on later in life. And no one has to know that you did it anyway, right? Or do this with a few of your closest friends! Maybe write about what you want from your first year in College and when you all come back the following year, read your letters together.
Attend a Music Festival: Whether it’s a big-name festival or a local one, attending a music festival is an experience you won’t forget. Grab some friends and dance the night away.
Have a Bonfire on the Beach: Get some friends, a frisbee or volleyball, and some s’mores ingredients and head to the beach for a bonfire. This is the perfect way to relax and spend some quality time relaxing with your friends.
Go on a Hike: The Metro Parks are the best place to go hiking around Cleveland. And we have so many different parks to choose from. Go out and check them all out.
Take a Road Trip to Visit Colleges: Here’s another road trip option. If you’re planning on attending college after high school, take a road trip specifically to visit some potential schools. This is a great way to explore different campuses and get a feel for college life.
Start a Blog or YouTube Channel: Who doesn’t want to have a Youtube channel these days? Or is that just me? haha 😅 But really, this is another great thing for colllege admissions, essays, resumes or even just something to talk about in interviews. Senior year is the perfect time to start a blog or YouTube channel. Whether it’s a fashion blog, travel blog, or cooking channel, this is a great way to showcase your passions and creativity.
